The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the my nsfas missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are nsfas 2025 reminded to offer the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for 2025 nsfas application matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
